PT Usha is an Arjuna Awardee and Padma Shri. For her exemplary contribution to the sport she is widely regarded as the ‘Queen of Indian Track and Field.’ She has won 11 medals at the Asian Games in addition to multiple medals at the Asian Championships, too. She has also represented India at the Olympic Games 4 times. Narrowly missing out on a podium at the 1984 Olympic Games, she is one of the finest athletes to have represented our country.
She is currently serving as the President of the Indian Olympic Association, and is also an MP.
